Fair Housing
It's important to know that the Federal Fair Housing Act and Arizona Fair Housing laws protect everyone from discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing. This means property owners, sellers, landlords, property managers, and real estate professionals cannot discriminate against anyone based on certain protected characteristics. The National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics also strictly prohibits any form of discrimination. These laws ensure that no one is treated unfairly because of their race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), familial status, or disability. Everyone deserves equal treatment in all housing-related activities.

Agency
A real estate agent has a special duty to their client and must always protect and promote their client’s interests. They should also treat everyone else involved in the transaction fairly. Key parts of this duty include following the client’s wishes, being loyal, being honest, keeping information private, managing money carefully, and being thorough and diligent.
